GDPR/CCPA

AI DEMOS & GDPR COMPLIANCE At Demoable, we take data privacy and compliance seriously. Our Web Visitors feature is fully committed to adhering to GDPR and CCPA regulations. Our tracking system, used to power AI-driven demos and analytics, collects data securely through Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure, with encryption applied both in transit and at rest. Data Collection Context Demoable's AI demo system collects behavioral data to personalize and optimize user experiences. This includes: - Pages viewed - Visitor referral sources - Time spent on the site - IP addresses (used strictly for identifying visiting companies and geographic location) We use this data to match visitors to companies for B2B insights, helping our customers engage more effectively via automated demos. We filter out residential IPs to avoid processing consumer or private individuals’ data. B2B-Only Focus Demoable only identifies B2B companies and provides employee contact information that is publicly available via web scraping. We do not sell or share private personal data. All data revealed through Web Visitors is sourced from public domains, and we are happy to provide the origin of that information upon request. Personal Data Clarification The GDPR and CCPA apply to data that can identify an individual. While IP addresses and cookie identifiers can sometimes qualify, Demoable's filtering mechanisms and focus on B2B engagement limit our processing to business context only. If data can identify a person (e.g., an IP or email) and is linked to a behavior or used in targeting, it may be considered personal data. However, Demoable does not process data in a way that personally targets individuals without a lawful basis. User Recommendations If you're using Demoable's Web Visitors feature and want to ensure GDPR compliance, we recommend: - Including Demoable alongside other tools like Google Analytics in your privacy policy and cookie notice. - Disclosing the use of Web Visitors in all areas where tracking technologies are mentioned. - If you uninstall the Web Visitors tracking script from your site, all related visitor data will be permanently deleted. Key Privacy Principles - We do not process or store private consumer data. - We avoid identifying individuals unless legally justified. - All Web Visitor data is collected and handled in accordance with GDPR. - Truly anonymized data is not considered personal data under the GDPR. To exercise your rights or request additional information about how Demoable processes data through the Web Visitors feature, please contact us at [email protected].
